Dear Camp Gian 2019
Camp is almost here and we can hardly wait for it to start! We’re looking forward to a fun week and we hope that you are as excited as we are! We have many exciting activities planned including, a great theme, interesting classes in a fun learning environment, and great recreational activities. This year we will be focusing on Guru Amardas Ji and Anand Sahib. We also have a field trip that everybody will most definitely enjoy!!
This year, Camp will be held at:
Khalsa Care Foundation

We have just a few reminders for you to keep in mind while you are packing, please make sure to bring:

· 5-6 changes of clothes (keep in mind the dress code which is outlined below)
· 3 dastaars (for the boys)
· Chunnis (for the girls)
Please make sure all of the above items are labeled with your name.
We have a mandatory dress code at camp. The girls must wear suits at all times and the boys must wear dastaars at all times. No shorts may be worn during camp. The only exception to the dress code is during the recreational time or field trip.
There is also a mandatory dress code for Friday, July 12th, the last day of camp. All girls must wear a white suit with an orange dupatta and all boys must wear a white kurta pajama with an orange dastaar.
DO NOT BRING:
· MP3 players

· Any sort of dangerous item/weapon except for a Kirpan
If we see any participant with any of these items, we will confiscate them. If any child causes excessive discipline problems we will call his/her parents to come pick them up immediately, and that child will not be allowed to return to camp in successive years.
Although campers are allowed to bring cell phones with them, there is a CELL PHONE POLICY in place. Cell phones are strictly prohibited during any class and diwan times. We will be collecting all cell phones before class and returning them to the campers after classes are done for the day.
We encourage all participants to stay overnight at the Gurdwara, but if for any reason you cannot, you must be on time for the morning diwan which begins at 6:30 AM.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, July 7th at 5:00 PM at Khalsa Care Foundation. All Senior campers are to show up at 3pm at KCF on Sunday. If you have any questions you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and you can always visit www.campgian.com for updates and pictures.
